Pilates Teacher Training Program
The Pilates in Motion Teacher Training Program is accredited by the PILATESfoundation® UK Limited - the only not-for-profit professional Pilates organisation in the UK, dedicated to delivering and maintaining the highest standards in training, continuing education and code of conduct.
The PILATESfoundation® UK Limited was founded in 1996 by a group of experienced Pilates teachers to create a governing body that would maintain the integrity, philosophy and values of the Method, and continually assist the development of Pilates Teachers.
The aims of the PILATESfoundation® UK Limited are:
- To uphold the highest standard of teaching of the Pilates Method
- To represent and promote the interests of Pilates Teachers
- To encourage further development, research and study of the Pilates Method by offering lectures, courses and classes to its members, other practitioners and the general public
- To provide a support forum for all members
Full membership of the Foundation is an indication that a Pilates Teacher has successfully completed a Foundation Training Programme, is commited to continuing theri education, and is bound by the PILATESfoundation® UK's Code of Conduct and Code Ethics.
The course leader is Pilates in Motion Studio Director Anoushka Boone.
During the course a variety of guest teachers will give their input in terms of teaching skills and different approaches to the Pilates Method, such as: Dominique Jansen, Susanne Lahusen, Rachel Swindle, Carole Traole, Suzanne Scott, Daphne Higgs, Jessica Moolenaar, Liz Lark, Anna Blackmore, David Sye, Simon Turner, James Caplin, Georgie Ferraro...
