With the news dominated by coronavirus, we’d like to share some useful resources for staying informed and measures to help everyone feel and stay safe.
Our priority is the welfare of everyone visiting the studio, practitioners and teachers alike, so we ask that you follow the latest advice and information from Public Health England (PHE) and the Foreign and Commonwealth Office. Their websites provide lots of useful information on what to do if you’ve recently returned from one of the affected areas abroad and what you need to know if you’re experiencing symptoms.
The Government advice is call NHS 111, stay indoors and avoid contact with other people if you’ve travelled to the UK from specific areas that are detailed on the UK Government’s website here.
Exercising is beneficial to our immune systems so we encourage you to keep coming to class and taking any other steps that you can to boost your immunity. However, if you are sick with flu-like symptoms, we ask that you don’t come to class. We realise it can be frustrating but please do take the time to stay at home and rest. If you have any concerns about losing credits from a pack of classes that you are already using please let us know and we will make the necessary adjustments.
We can all help reduce the spread of illness, in general, by washing our hands regularly, covering our mouth and nose with a tissue when coughing or sneezing. We have hand sanitiser on the desk at the studio. It has a suitably high alcohol content and will air-dry quickly. We’ve also replaced the towel in the bathroom with paper towels for a more hygienic solution.
